Terracotta vessels were used to ferment and age wine as early as 6000 BC. Modern winemaking depends on wood barrels and stainless-steel tanks, but HANNA's Winemaker, Jeff Hinchliffe is excited about the possibilities of these historical amphorae. Terracotta naturally draws out red wine tannins, retains the wine’s acidity, and adds coveted minerality. The purity of the fruit is highlighted without the distraction of oak.

All our reservation experiences will receive a special pour of our HANNA Reserve Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2019 and be able to compare to the current release, 2017 HANNA Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon.
