Seven Ways to Rosé

Rosé is the ultimate summer wine. Its beguiling pink color comes from pressing whole clusters of Pinot Noir, Malbec and Zinfandel. Cool fermentation retains the vibrancy and freshness of the fruit. With low alcohol and tannins, crisp acidity and thirst quenching fruit flavors, we love it for summer sipping and for using in a variety of summer friendly recipes. Keep reading for our favorite ways to Rosé!

1. Rosé in your Summer Salad Vinaigrette

Ingredients

  • 4 tablespoons of HANNA Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 2 tablespoons of HANNA Rosé
  • 1 tablespoon of White Wine Vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon of Dijon Mustard
  • 1 teaspoon of Honey
  • Pinch of salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

In a deep saucepan on medium heat, add two tablespoons of olive oil. When the oil is shimmering, add onions and sauté until translucent. Add in minced garlic and prawns. Salt and pepper one side of the prawns. Flip the prawns after 1 ½ mins and stir the onions and garlic so they do not burn. Add Rosé and allow the wine to simmer and reduce down by half. Add tomatoes and Italian parsley, turn off the burner and stir to combine. Serve over pasta with a glass of chilled HANNA Rosé.

When ready to serve, pour a splash of sparkling wine on top, and garnish with basil/mint and blood orange peel.

4. Rosé Simple Syrup

Rosé Simple Syrup

Combine equal parts Rosé wine and sugar in a saucepan over medium heat.

Stir until all the sugar is dissolved.

Bring heat down to a simmer and allow to sit for 10-15 minutes.

Allow to cool before pouring into a container to store in the refrigerator.

Use this in cocktails, or the sangria and frosé recipes above to add an extra touch of sweetness!

5. Rosé Marinade for Chicken

Ingredients

4 Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts
1/3 cup of Olive Oil
¾ Cup of HANNA Rosé 2020
1 teaspoon of dried Oregano
1 teaspoon of Italian Seasoning
2 garlic cloves Minced
1 teaspoon of salt
1 teaspoon of pepper

Instructions

In a Ziplock bag, combine the above ingredients and seal the bag. Massage the marinade into the chicken and let rest in the fridge for a minimum of one hour, or overnight for best results. The acidity in the Rosé will help tenderize the chicken. Remove the chicken from the marinade and roast or grill.
